Tallulah

Tallulah

$50.00 every month

Sanctuary Anniversary: May 11, 2016

Birthday: Approximately 2008

Likes: Bailey, being the boss

Dislikes: Her medications

Why she is with us: When we created the sanctuary, people kept telling us we were going to wind up with “that lame pony”. Well, sure enough, one day we got the call. Tallulah had undiagnosed Cushing’s Disease, so was always experiencing hoof discomfort. Cushing’s is an ongoing battle, but we manage it by keeping her in a dry lot (also one of her dislikes), feeding only low carb, low sugar hay, herbs and supplements, massage and acupressure, and, of course, medication.

More about Tallulah: When Bailey arrived at the sanctuary, Tallulah fell in love. She spends her days just being near him, napping by him and gazing at him. Tallulah will let children groom her and braid her mane and tail, but she has no patience for most adults. Oh, and Tallulah (who we usually just call Pony), is the boss of the farm. At least she thinks she is ;)

Tallulah is sponsored in part by Sheila Doyle.

Tallulah’s monthly costs are $300, she has five sponsorship opportunities remaining
