Our sanctuary animals need your help! Every dollar counts, please choose a fund that aligns with your interests. Your support means the world to us, and our sanctuary animals.

All our Sanctuary Residents require daily hay (okay, maybe not the barn cats, but they do sleep on it!). We use several different types of hay depending on the animal's needs. Timothy and Teff Hay for horses with metabolic issues (most of our senior horses), Local Hay for younger horses, cows and goats, Alfalfa hay for horses who need more protein and calories. Veterinary Care and Medications for our sanctuary residents are critical and our top priority. Our mission is to provide the best care and keep them happy and healthy as long as possible and then provide them with a compassionate final chapter with no suffering. Click on the donate button to see the various veterinary costs for horses and farmed animals that make up 15% of our budget annually.

We are run solely by volunteers. Our Executive Director is a full-time volunteer. We do pay a few Animal Caregivers for shifts we do not have enough volunteers to fill shifts (our Sanctuary Animals require feeding and cleaning 2x a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year). Animal Caregivers ensure sanctuary residents get consistent care and feeding. They are crucial to our operation and our animals welfare and make up 33% of our annual budget. Every one of our Sanctuary Residents has a precise diet created just for them. Chickens, Cows, Goats and Horses all need pelleted feed and supplements to maintain their health. Some of our senior residents are missing many teeth and require large amounts of feed because they can no longer chew hay well. Feed, Supplements and supplies make up 12% of our annual budget. Horses hooves require monthly hoof care and trims to remain healthy. With 14 -20 sanctuary horses in residence that means our farrier has lots to keep her busy! Farrier care makes up 3% of our annual budget. Click on the donate button to keep our sanctuary horses’ hooves healthy!

Fencing... oh the fencing... solar chargers, hoses, buckets, feeders, tape, screws, so many things hold our sanctuary together! Not glamorous, but oh so necessary. Facilities and equipment make up 3% of our annual budget. Click on the donate button to provide much needed facilities and equipment.

Donations to our General Fund will be applied where the need is greatest at the time. Our overhead is very low thanks to October Farm hosting us, so all donations go directly to the feed and care of our sanctuary animals in one way or another.
