Chickpea was one of the four hens that came to us from our dear friend, Laura, when she had to move off island. Chickpea had bone cancer in her leg… Most chickens don’t live long enough to get cancer…. she crossed the rainbow bridge in 2025 after spending time in hospice at a volunteer’s house.
