Why she is with us: Lenja was a broodmare on Orcas, and her owner could no longer keep her, or the rest of her herd, due to family illness. She came to us after being on our waiting list for over a year and a half with her son, Brimir, and her friend, Venus.

More about Lenja: Lenja means “soft snow” in Icelandic. Lenja is indeed, very soft, very quiet and very sweet.

Sweet Lenja crossed the rainbow bridge suddenly in the winter of 2022. We miss her quiet presence and think of her when the wind blows softly through the valley…
